Can I use nitromoors instead of a sander to clean my wooden floor?

I’d like to clean up the wooden floorboards in my bedroom – about 11 sq meters – and want to avoid using a sander if possible. Will nitromoors remove the dirt sufficiently for me to then oil or varnish the boards?

Does anyone have experience in preparing a wooden floor with a hand sander for refinishing?

… I have a whole house with wooden floors which are in need of refinishing. I am about to start in one room and want to work on my own pace with a hand sander ( mouse) rather than being under time pressure with a rented foor sander. Can anyone tell me if they have ever used a hand sander for this job? How long did it take you and how were the results?
How far do I have to sand before I can put the polyyurathen on? Thanks for any advice!

What is the best type of sander to refinish an oak parquet floor?

I have a 57 y/o home with an oak parquet floor. I am removing the carpet that has overlaid this floor for at least the past 10 years. The floor is in pretty good shape, but has patterns left from the carpet padding, staple and nail holes all over the place, and a few worn areas, but nothing seriously wrong (that I have encountered so far, that is).

My wife and I plan on refinishing this floor in the near future. Because the floor is parquet (12×12 blocks with 5 identical wood strips that run parallel with each other, but perpendicular to the neighboring blocks), I won’t be able to use a belt sander.

Thanks in advance!

Which kind of sander should I use to refinish my hardwood stairs?

Help please!!!
I want to refinish my stairs. I got hardwood floors troughout the whole house. We refinished them a while ago, but left the stairs behind because the big sander we rented couldn’t do the job. Now I want to finally do the stairs. Should I buy a belt, circular or any other kind of sander? And what should I use to paint the steps?

Thanks a lot!

I’m using a scraper now, not a sander. It’s very very hard on my hands. I’m a professional guitarist and I need to preserve them. Thus the idea of a sander.

What's the best sander to get for the trim outside my house?

I need to sand down the trim around the garage and other spots – what’s the best sander to get? Thanks for any suggestions.
I guess I should have been more clear – yes, an orbital sander – but what’s a good brand and/or model?

What electric sander should I buy? I am absolutely new to this and don’t know any difference between orbital sander or whatever. I just know that I don’t want it to be too heavy or I might strip away all the wood.
