… I have a whole house with wooden floors which are in need of refinishing. I am about to start in one room and want to work on my own pace with a hand sander ( mouse) rather than being under time pressure with a rented foor sander. Can anyone tell me if they have ever used a hand sander for this job? How long did it take you and how were the results?
How far do I have to sand before I can put the polyyurathen on? Thanks for any advice!

I am interested in companies that sell brackets (I think that is what they are called) that hold power tools onto shelving units. It consists of a bar and then various adapters, depending on the power tool.
Thanks for the information, but as I work for a company, we need the factory information. We can not just ask at the hardware store or go online and purchase. I hope that this is helpful

I am used to working with power tools and this will be my first drill press purchase. Extremely hesitant about purchasing "off brands". Very Important factors are: 10" (or larger) drill press, Under 0 USD, Low spindle run-out (<=0.005"-nothing with cheap bearings), low speed under 500RPM, 3" depth drilling would be nice, adjustable tilt table, 1/2" chuck (keyed is preferred), floor model or table top model, at least 1/3 HP motor (continuous duty rating). Laser sight is not needed, NO digital readout. I am using it for wood and want the lower speeds for bi-metal hole saws. Obviously, solid construction & a good warranty. I have been doing research on the "net" & in stores.

If there are other important factors/accessories that I should be aware of, point them out so I can make an educated decision. Any and all comments & help is greatly appreciated. Can anyone help?

So my 5 year old Craftsman 14.4v drill is starting to not hold power. I put the batteries in the charger and after a few minutes the red light is out. Leaving them all night produces only a little charge, just enough to tease. So I don’t know if it’s the batteries or charger.

So I go to Sears and find batteries are .99 and a charger is also . That’s over 0 to replace what I have in batteries and the charger

There is a 14.4v drill on sale with charger, two batteries and a case for . Duh!

Should I just expect to buy a new one every few years?
It’s just used for light duty around the house and it worked great for several years.
I have a heavy duty corded drill for actual drilling projects.

There was a cartoon from the 80’s or 90’s were the people were turned into half man, half power tools. Does any one remember the name of it and if so do you have a link of some uploaded episodes?
